Poker Trainer

Learn Texas Hold'em by playing hands. Set how many players sit at the table, get dealt two cards in a random "folded to you" position, and decide: raise, call or fold. The trainer grades your choice against a sound opening guideline and reveals your real equity against that many opponents, simulated live. Add players and watch your equity drop.

How it works

  1. 1Choose the number of players (2 to 9), then press Deal. You get two cards and a position, with everyone folded to you.
  2. 2Decide: raise, call or fold. The trainer tells you instantly whether it matched the opening guideline, and why.
  3. 3It then reveals your equity, your percentage chance to win against that many random hands, computed by running thousands of simulations on the spot.
  4. 4More players to act behind you means you should play tighter. Change the table size and feel how the right range shifts.

The opening guideline uses the Chen formula, a widely taught way to score starting hands, combined with your position. It teaches solid fundamentals, not solver-perfect ranges, and it covers the "folded to you" open-raise decision. The equity shown is against random hands (an all-in estimate), so real opponents who keep playing will usually be stronger.
